Currículo Resumido / Short resume

Sergey Pyrlin graduated from Moscow State Technical University n.a. N.E. Bauman in 2009 with the degree of Master of Engineering and Technology in Applied Physics. In 2011 Sergey joined the Center of Physics as an early-stage researcher within Marie Curie ITN “CONTACT”. Continuation of this work resulted in University of Minho awarding him a PhD degree in Physics in 2016.

The research of Sergey focuses on using molecular- and mesoscale level simulations to study unusual phenomena in novel functional materials such as programmed self-assembly and transport phenomena in nanostructured materials. Throughout his career Sergey has been an FCT fellow in management in Science and Technology as well as a post-doctorial researcher within UT Austin-Portugal project UT-BORN-PT: Unconventional Thermoelectrics Based on Self-Organized Binary Nanocrystal Superlatices.
