Currículo Resumido / Short resume

Licenciada em Física Aplicada- Ramo Ótica obteve o Doutoramento em Ciências na Universidade do Minho em 2005 onde é atualmente Professora Auxiliar do Departamento de Física da Universidade de Minho. Encontra-se a lecionar no curso de Optometria e Ciências da Visão e no Mestrado em Optometria Avançada da Universidade do Minho. A sua investigação incide sobretudo na área da Instrumentação Oftálmica, nomeadamente na imagiologia e avaliação do segmento anterior do globo ocular. Desenvolve ainda trabalhos de investigação para avaliar o impacto da realização de tarefas em visão próxima a nível ocular e em trabalhos de Ergonomia Visual. Tem uma patente internacional, tem publicado vários artigos em revistas científicas e capítulos de livros e apresentado comunicações em diversas conferências nacionais e internacionais.
Tem ainda orientado bolseiros de investigação, teses de mestrado e doutoramento e fez/faz parte da equipe de investigação de projetos de investigação nacionais e europeus.

She has a degree in Physics – Applied Optics (specialization in Optometry) and obtained a PhD in Sciences at the University of Minho in 2005, where she is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics at the University of Minho. She teaches several topics at the undergraduation level in Optometry and Vision Sciences and at masters level in the Master in Advanced Optometry at the University of Minho. Her research is focused in the field of ophthalmic instrumentation, in particular in the imaging and evaluation of the anterior segment of the eye. She also focus on the assessment of the impact in the visual system of performing tasks using near vision and in Visual Ergonomics. She is co-author of an international patent, has published several articles in scientific journals and book chapters and presented communications in several national and international conferences.
She has also oriented research fellows, masters and PhD theses and did/is part of the research team of national and European research projects.
